Live Workshop
December 15, 2021
4:00pm - 5:00pm (UTC +9)
This workshop is intended to highlight the problems caused in U.S. patent applications that are translations of non-U.S. (e.g., Japanese) applications. Even correctly translated applications, if not revised, are generally lower-quality and are more expensive to prosecute than properly revised applications. This results in low quality U.S. patent portfolios which damage the reputations of the patent applicants.

What you will learn in this workshop:
Learn what you need to know to be a successful (or even MORE successful) U.S. patent translator in 2022 and beyond. Learn how to get more translation work, how to position yourself as an expert, and how to increase your value to clients, even if you do not have any experience with patent translation.
2
Soon, the most important skill a translator will need is not "translation" skill. It's review and feedback of the English translations.
Soon, A.I. software will do ALL the translation work. Humans will not be necessary for the actual translation. However, humans will be needed for review of the translation and providing FEEDBACK to the clients. Therefore, those translators who can do the best review and feedback will be successful and translators who can only "translate" will not get work.
3
Finding your niche and creating your original feedback "toolbox" is the key to success in 2022.
Now that more companies are using A.I. translation, human translators are needed less and less. The market is becoming more crowded and translators need to adapt to be successful. Specifically, translators must find a good "niche" and develop a feedback "toolbox" to provide value to their clients in 2022 and beyond.
4
Translator Edge™ gives you the skills and tools of the top 1% of patent translators in 14 days.
A comprehensive course for patent translation can cost nearly $3,000 USD. And translation skills are not going to be needed in a few years because of the A.I. takeover. We developed Translator Edge™ to be much less expensive than traditional translator training, and to allow translators to (1) develop their own patent translation niche, (2) position themselves as an expert in that niche, even if they do not have much experience, and (3) build a custom feedback toolbox that provides massive value to clients.
